SEP 1993 – MAR 1994 – Library Support Technician

After spending a good deal of my free time in Sixth Form in the library supporting other students, and helping out with the library system, I took on this temporary opportunity shortly after leaving the school.

At the time the school’s administration computer network was limited to 3 computers maintained by the Local Council’s Education Department; along with a couple of PCs connected to a Novel Network to run the library system and about 15 Acorn Archimedes for pupil use.

There were two other computer suites in the school running BBC Microcomputers, again, roughly 15 per suite.
